To work with sound. To evoke Hong Kong by capturing its audio soul. Thus was the intention at the Anne Pastor’s radio reportage that was recently broadcasted on France Inter, France’s national broadcast station. It seems that this Idol of Asia, who speak Cantonese with a strong Mandarin accent, is kind of a celluloid guardian angel for me in the thousand towers city . I first discovered her in 1995 as her media and film career was just taking off s. Since then, I have often catch glimpses of her 2D face, in a commercial or a film.
My joy was therefore extreme when I received the request to help as a Fixer on this radio production. It felt a bit as if the pretty actress’s aura was inviting at each street corner.
